An Advanced Taser does not depend upon body penetration or impact to achieve
its effect. The Advanced Taser uses a pulsating electrical output which
interferes with communication between the brain and the muscular system which
results in a loss of control. Also, the Advanced Taser does not damage nerves,
muscles or other body elements, it simply effects their natural mode. Most
importantly, in the namesake of "less-lethal" technology, no deaths
have been attributed to the Advanced Taser.
Upon firing the Advanced Taser, compressed nitrogen projects two "Taser
Probes" 15 feet at a speed of 180 feet per second. Thin insulated wire is
used to connect the probe to the Taser and an electrical signal transmits
throughout the region where the probes made contact with the body and or
clothing. Instantly, the result is a loss of the attackers neuromuscular control
and any ability to perform a coordinated action/attack. The Advanced Taser has
an automatic timing mechanism and allows the user to apply the electric charge
for 5 seconds.
The Advanced Taser M18 and
M18-L (Advanced Taser with Laser Sight) use the
technology listed above.
Both the M18 and the
M18-L use
50,00 volts of incredible non-lethal takedown power. The Advanced Taser Systems
have been used by law enforcement agencies around the globe for over 20 years.
